Maybe I am exaggerating a bit with this title, but recent research has shown that acute leukemia, the most common childhood cancer in developed countries (notice this is not such a problem for developing countries), may be caused by a lack of microbial exposure in early life.

Said another way, kids who don't get enough infections as babies and small children are at greater risk for developing acute leukemia. Here is one article about that research: https://www.yahoo.com/news/most-common-childhood-cancer-likely-112238446.html

As doctors develop a vaccine to administer, my recommendation is to eliminate anti-bacterial soap. Anti-bacterial soap, while killing bad 'bugs' may also be killing good 'bugs.' We need some bacteria in our lives. Let's get back to using regular soap (not anti-bacterial) so that our bodies can return to some version of 'normal' bacteria environs.
