As I was saying, whole grains are very beneficial for all of us. I heard two presenters at an international conference in fall, 2019 say that obesity was more highly associated with not eating whole grains than with eating fruits and vegetables. Other ways to get whole grains include high fiber and low or no sugar cereals. And follow the recommended serving size. We usually go for 3/4 of a cup of cereal and add some milk.
Eat whole grain bread. Be careful - read the ingredients and look for "whole grain wheat" as the first ingredient.
When I wanted to bake a loaf of pumpkin bread in the fall, I searched onlin
e for a whole-grain recipe. It turned out to be so delicious that my 9-year old daughters requested it. Here is that recipe: https://www.100daysofrealfood.com/recipe-pumpkin-bread/
As you prepare to bake, do an online search for a whole-grain version of your recipe. You might be surprised - it could taste better with whole grains than without them!
