Keeping up mental health

If you live on planet earth, you are currently under some form of quarantine, lockdown, or life has slowed in some way as we all react to the quick coronavirus spreading around causing COVID-19. It is critical during this time to maintain your mental health. Three strategies I recommend include:
1. Exercise - take several walks daily; make the neighbors say "There he/she/they going again!"
2. Meditate - "Don't do something, sit there!" Just sit still for a few minutes and notice your breathing. It can bring you perspective or remind you of a task that has priority, or just give you some relaxation.
3. Teach your kids chores. As you are confined to your house, you will realize that there are a lot of tasks still to be done. House-cleaning doesn't end and may worsen with people living at home more. Don't expect yourself to do it all; share with your housemates. My 9-year old girls are suddenly learning to bake cookies, pancakes, waffles; sweeping; clearing the dish washer; washing and drying dishes; vacuuming - all on a regular basis. I am hoping to have some good habits in place when we are all more free to leave the house.
