Enjoy fresh fruit!

This week, I took my children to a strawberry patch. We picked nearly 10 pounds within an hour! When we tasted the strawberries, we all agreed that we had never tasted such good berries. Though I picked strawberries as a child, I didn't recall how fresh they could taste. If you have not had the chance, be sure to pick some strawberries or blueberries or cherries, peaches, apples or any other fruit available in your neighborhood. I guarantee you will be impressed with the flavor, juiciness, and freshness. We were able to make a pie, shortcake, and sugar-free jam using chia seeds.

Mash 4 cups of strawberries in a pan.
Heat this with 1/4 cup of agave for 5 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup of chia seeds.
Turned off the burner, and let it set there until it cools and thickens.
Chia seeds contain fiber and protein, so this jam is healthier than the regular jam which contains pectin and as much as 4 cups of sugar for 3 cups of berries. Here is another version: https://yummyinspirations.net/2019/01/strawberry-chia-seed-jam/
