Health benefits of....mushrooms!

Recently, I have had time to take a closer look at a cookbook I purchased about 2 years ago. The cookbook emphasizes mushrooms. That seems savory and yet there were a few dessert recipes in it. I tested out a few of them - no bake cookies and truffles, and have the ingredients for the mousse. So far the recipes are delicious! And I am learning a lot about mushrooms. These recipes are using mushroom extract powders. That seemed strange to me at first, but I finally stopped at a health food store and purchased two of them: lion's mane and reishi. I am ready to head back for cordyceps. If these sound foreign to you, you are not alone. I was skeptical as I'd never heard of these types of mushrooms. But they provide health benefits such as mental clarity and energy.
